The Nashville Real Estate market continues to be a great market because Nashville continues to be a great city. The economic trend of the 1990’s and early 2000’s has led the city on an upward growth trend that has continued even through the latest recession.
Nashville and the surrounding suburban cities continue to expand thus the real estate market is still growing; though at a slower pace than in the early 2000’s. If you are buying a home as a first time home buyer or a downsizing empty nester you can find what you’re looking for in Nashville. If you love the urban feel of the city there are many condos and downtown developments to choose from. There are also some very “hip” and “chic” areas that are experiencing new life as new development and renovation of the areas take place. East Nashville is the first place I think of that meets this criterion though there are several other unique pockets in and around town including Sylvan Park and the Belmont area.
One of the greatest things about the Middle Tennessee area is the accessibility to downtown from some very exceptional areas that sit on the outskirts of town. These areas are cities in their own right and one has its own distinct flavor. One of my favorite, and where I live, is Hendersonville. Hendersonville is North of Nashville and is the home of Old Hickory Lake, which is one of the nicest lakes in Tennessee. I know because I live on it! Another great area is Bellevue to the West of Nashville, which is a growing community close to the historical Edwin Warner Park. If shopping is your passion, there are also Green Hills, Brentwood and Cool Springs to tickle your fancy as well as a brand new outdoor shopping mall in Hendersonville!
If you are selling a house this is a wonderful time to do so as new people are always moving into this area as well as the newly graduating seniors from our surrounding universities that are looking to buy their first home. This, coupled with the economic growth that has taken place, makes it a great time to sell.
Forbes Magazine chose Nashville as one of The Best Cities for Jobs in 2008 as it is still one of the chosen destinations for growth. So whether you are buying a home or selling a home now is a great time to do so and I look forward to assisting you with your next step!
